We are seeking a Group Administrator for the Tactical Intelligence Systems Group (QAT) in the Asymmetric Operations Sector (AOS).  We are seeking a self-directed, highly driven person who will be entrusted with significant responsibilities.  As a member of our team, you will contribute to the groups’ success in providing day-to-day operational support to our leadership team and staff members.

 

As Group Administrator, you will…

  • Provide administrative and operational support for our group of approximately 70 engineers and scientists.
  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, book conference rooms and ensure readiness for hybrid meetings.
  • Process purchase requests for equipment, supplies, registrations, memberships, and reconcile procurement card on time.
  • Serve as the move coordinator, synchronizing all office and furniture moves, and carpentry requests.
  • Collaborate with group leadership and Talent Services Department (TSX) to schedule interviews and track hiring updates.
  • Prepare for new hires by planning and organizing office space, arranging furniture, and ordering equipment. Assist with welcome, orientation, and on boarding of new staff.
  • Serve as Travel Coordinator for group and associated program areas. Arrange travel, both domestic and international, for team members and process reimbursements.
  • Serve as Property Associate for all group property by updating changes and maintaining accurate records through inventory.
  • Plan and support various group morale events.

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in office administration or other relevant field. A Bachelor’s degree and business-related internship experience may be substituted.
  • Are highly organized with experience working well in a collaborative, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.
  • Are proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills including proofreading proficiency.
  • Exhibit outstanding interpersonal skills and an ability to help build a positive work environment.
  • Possess a willingness to challenge the status quo and advocate for process changes.
  • Are able to obtain a Top Secret level security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information.  Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you...

  • Have completed a college degree or some college coursework related to office administration and/or security
  • Have experience in safeguarding classified and/or sensitive personnel information
  • Possess knowledge of APL practices and procedures and internal administrative applications such as EBSS, OIE, RMIS

The referenced pay range is based on JHU APL’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level with consideration for internal parity. For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of hours worked. APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation per internal policy and/or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, locality allowance or discretionary payments for exceptional performance. APL provides eligible staff with a comprehensive benefits package including retirement plans, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, education assistance, and training and development. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

$26.10 Hourly

Maximum Rate

$42.70 Hourly
